Welcome Adrien Riva to EQUBITFLY team !
While doing his Physics Engineering degree at ENSTA Paris and École Polytechnique, Adrien discovered quantum physics and statistical physics, which confirmed his interest in this field. Adrien did a first research internship at the 2DPHYS laboratory at DTU University, Denmark, working on two-dimensional materials: “It was a field I knew nothing about at first, but found really enjoyable. That’s why I decided to continue in this direction for my final year of engineering school, which I completed at École Polytechnique, notably with a course on mesoscopic quantum transport and topological matter taught by Mark Goerbig”. He then did his M2 internship at CEA Saclay, under the direction of Preden Roulleau in the Nanoelectronics group, where he worked on noise measurements in magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene (MATBG) to explore the physics of this strongly correlated material.
Still in the same team at CEA Saclay, Adrien is now an Engineer with the prospect of pursuing a PhD. In EQUBITFLY project, his contribution focuses on two aspects: (1) Understanding the physics of moiré systems, and (2) Manufacturing samples based on rhombohedral graphene to explore the anomalous quantum Hall effect.
