Welcome Sam Patissier to EQUBITFLY Team !
Sam actually started studying Biology at Aix-Marseille University University with a long-life passion for animal biology, but changed his mind after reading “A brief history of time ” by S. Hawking.
Several years later, Sam obtained his Master Degree on Fundamental Physics at Aix-Marseille University, Luminy, and specialized on Condensed Matter and Low Energy. During his internship at CPT Marseille with Thierry MARTIN, Sam worked on charge susceptibility of an integer quantum Hall droplet using fermionic coherent states, pursuing a fruitful collaboration between CPT and ISSP Tokyo, Institute for Solid State Physics.
“During my internship, we studied a single-edge quantum Hall droplet system by measuring the charge susceptibility encoded in a charge density-density correlator, which characterizes microwave absorption. For such a quadratic correlator, we can write it as a product of Green’s functions in the Matsubara formalism at finite temperature. The linear response is then recovered by analytical continuation”.
“Now pursuing my research at CPT with a PhD financed by QuantEduFrance, I will study the coexistence of the quantum Hall state with superconductivity, which are a priori two incompatible states of matter. In particular, with Thierry, we will focus on the manifestation of direct and cross Andreev reflection in double-edge quantum Hall systems. To deal with open systems, we will use the Keldysh formalism”.
